Yellowstone Northern Range and Interior Winter Photo Workshop
Yellowstone’s Northern Range is magical in winter. Wolves, bison, foxes, coyotes, bighorn sheep, moose and dramatic wintry landscapes make for a plentiful photographic environment. We will work on proper exposure in the snow, appropriate composition of wildlife and the best ways to capture the winter wonderland.
We work out of Gardiner and get 4 days along the Northern Range along with a private snowcoach into Yellowstone’s interior. We will spend time photographing the Mammoth Terraces, looking for pronghorn and river otters. A full week gives us plenty of time to wait on fallen bison and search for wolves.
Sample 7 Day/6 Night Itinerary:
Day One: We begin in Bozeman at around noon at your previous night’s lodging or in Bozeman. We travel to Gardiner, Montana, and check into our lodging. A local afternoon photo tour sets the mood before a welcome dinner in Gardiner.

Day Six: We have one last day on the Northern Range. We return to Gardiner for a late lunch and then make the trek back to Bozeman in the afternoon.
